Sketch Journaling

Just got myself some new toys today from the art supply shop near my house. Presently these shall very sufficient for experimenting with black & white sketches. Learning to handle light and depth with lines.

The shopping bag includes:

1. Daler-Rowney's Willow Charcoal (med)

2. Kurecolor: Warm Grey

3. Kurecolor: Grey Tint

4. Pigma Brush: BR

5. Pigma Brush: 02

And the Experiment...

A Stray Dog

Came home this afternoon, and was walking pass a man begging on the pedestrian bridge. So instead of giving him money, i thought i should just get him a pack of rice for dinner: Chicken drumstick, spinach and rice, packed in a poly-box with a 100-Plus by the side. By the time i get back to where he was sitting, there was no more begging man to give to, he left... He left!! crappy poop, what should i do with a pack of rice i can't eat? (for those of you who don't know, i'm a vegetarian).

Standing there contemplating what to do, stunned in rejection and unbelief, i had only to head back home and hope to see any "needy" along the way. This is the first time ever i feel guilty to be looking out for someone to "help".

What do i know? there was this dog lurking behind a car, looking quite lonely, sad, and hungry (i believe). Ok, here you go boy... Chicken drumstick and spinach rice...

Bukit Gasing

Went to Bukit Gasing last Sunday, had a pretty good hike. Alas i had to end early. Here's an impression of the little hill.
